SLCU Board Search

The SLCU Nominating Committee has been appointed to nominate three individuals for Board of Director positions, each to serve a full, three-year term. The Nominating Committee is currently conducting a search for candidates for the above-mentioned volunteer positions.

If you would like to be nominated, please complete the Expression of Interest Form and return to a Soo Line Credit Union office, or by e-mail to Mark Johnson at mark_johnson@cpr.ca or Dick Walstrom at tsmrlw02@msn.com.

The Nominating Committee uses the following factors when considering a Nominee.

Membership in the Soo Line Credit Union.
Reputation for integrity, hard work and ethical standards.
Ability to exercise independent judgment, willingness to disclose obligations and potential conflicts of interest.
Professional/volunteer roles and accomplishments.
Educational background.
The extent to which the individual would bring relevant skills or experience to the Board that is otherwise absent.
Commitment: available time, energy and interest.

The Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee meet monthly. Board members may be assigned to a committee that also meets once a month.
