The CD Builder Program is a two-part savings program at SLCU. The CD Builder Savings Account offers an automatic savings plan. Transfer as little as $25 per month into a CD Building Savings Account. 

Earn Interest While Building Towards a Builder CD!
The Builder CD will automatically open when the CD Builder Savings Account reaches $1,000.

CD Builder Savings Accounts are reviewed on the 5th and 20th of each month to determine if the CD Builder Savings Account has reached the $1000 certificate amount. Amounts will be transferred in $1000 increments to the Builder CD. Any amount less than $1000 will remain in the CD Builder Savings Account until the next $1000 is reached.

The account must be set up with an Automatic Transfer from Savings or Checking. The CD Builder Savings Account automatic transfer may be set up to transfer once a month on the 5th or the 20th or twice a month both on the 5th and the 20th.

The penalty for early withdrawal is 90 days loss of interest on amount withdrawn from the CD Builder Account. Account results in the loss of accrued interest in the month the withdrawal occurs. Penalties are based on current account rates. The CD Builder Accounts are not available as loan collateral.
